The Holland research group is interested in understanding metal-containing catalysts that control chemical reactions. Our goals are: (1) to design molecules that can perform interesting transformations like those accomplished by enyzmes and surfaces, and (2) gain mechanistic information that helps to understand the mechanism of the catalysts.
